Let us seek to serve God in all we say and do! We believe the Bible is the Word of the Living God and we need to live, teach and preach the Gospel in all that we say and do. Let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ, no matter what the world or our society says.
God is worthy of our worship and prayer. Christ loved you so much that He died on the cross that you and I might have the gift of eternal life and one day be with Him in heaven. If we will repent of our sins and receive Him into our heart as our personal Lord and Savior.
I encourage you to be faithful to our Lord and his Bride, the church. Let us be committed and serve Him in the beauty of His holiness.
I urge you to come out Sunday afternoon, Feb. 16 at 4:30 PM for the Valentine's Banquet hosted, prepared and served by our youth. Donations will be accepted and will go towards their mission trip to Impact VA at Bluefield College July 12-18th.
Our Children's Dept. will go to the Roanoke Rescue Mission on Feb. 22 to help there. On Feb. 23 we will observe Baptist Men's Day where the men lead us in worship at the 11:00 AM Worship Service.
March 15-18 will be our revival service with the 11:00 AM service and continue each evening at 7:00 PM. Rev. Darrell Fletcher will be the guest speaker. Let's be in prayer and make plans to be in attendance each service. There will be special music each service, too!
Our Youth will lead the 11:00 AM worship service on Sunday, Mar. 29 which will certainly be a special service you won't want to miss.
God is working - so let's join Him in what He is doing! May the blessings of our Lord and Savior be with you now and forever.

Greetings in the name of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope you are staying cool during these hot days of July!
God has been great to us and we need to stop at times and just count our blessings and see what God has done for us and with us. Let us use our time "Focusing on Jesus Christ" and seeking to do what He has planned for us. As we approach the time of seeking new leaders for 2020 I hope you are praying as to where God wants you to serve. You are not serving the church or people, you are serving the Lord. I believe that God has a place of service for every member of the church. So, let's serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together.
I encourage everyone to be in prayer for our Impact Virginia team that left the Eastern Shore and will return 27th. Let us pray for their safety and service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have 10 people that went. Sunday, July 28th they will give a report on their mission trip.
On August 4th during the 11 AM service a Gideon will be sharing about their ministry and we will have an opportunity to donate to them. August 18th at 11:30 AM we will have our church picnic at the Franklin County Recreation Park on Sontag Road. We will worship first, have a potluck lunch and have games and activities. Everyone is invited! On August 25th at 3 PM we will have our watermelon and Ice Cream fellowship sponsored by our men.
Let us strive to become the Church God wants us to be by reaching out to the lost and ministering to those in need. God is good all the time. Let's praise His Holy name.
March 2019
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I hope you are staying warm this sunny day.
God loves you and He wants the very best for you. God is good all the time. I didn't say our circumstances or situations are good, but God is good. He promised He would never leave us nor forsake us. He is with us always even unto the ends of the earth. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to live on earth and to set the example for us to live by. Then he went to the cross, died for our sins, rose from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven and has prepared a place for each one who repents of their sins and asks Jesus Christ to come into their heart as their personal Lord and Savior. This is how he demonstrated His love for us.
Let us worship and praise Him in everything we do. He deserves our worship and praise. Let us show Our Savior how much we love him by our obedience to His word and His commandments. Let us bear the fruit of the Spirit He has given us. Let us burn out for our Savior and not rust out. Let us be about our Heavenly Father's business of seeking the lost and ministering to those in need. We cannot save anyone-- but we can point them to the one who can, Jesus Christ.
Let us come and worship Him in our Revival beginning on Sunday the 17th at 11 AM followed at 5:30 PM with a potluck meal to meet and greet each other and our revival speaker, Roger Roller. Revival Services will continue nightly, Sunday - Wednesday at 7 PM with special music each night.
Other planned events to mark on your calendar are: March 31st we will join with our Association at Halesford Baptist for the "Cry of Christ." This will be our Spring Inspiration. April 21, Easter Sunday, we will start the celebration of our risen Lord with Sunrise Service followed by breakfast. Put on your calendar our Vacation Bible School on June 3-7.
Let us strive to become the person and the church that God wants us to be. Let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ and His Word. Let us service Him with gladness. See you in worship. May God's blessing be with you now and always
January 28, 2019
Greetings on this Monday morning! We had a great day on Sunday in our worship and observance of the Lord's Supper. That service was followed by a great time in our Men's Ministry.
I hope this finds you doing well this morning and giving glory to God Almighty. God loves you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Always keep your focus on Jesus; He is our strength and comfort. All of us must walk through times of darkness, but non of us have to walk through it alone. Jesus Christ is with you.
Let us strive to make sure that whatever we do is done for the glory of God. God loves you, always.
This Sunday, Feb. 3rd., will be Baptist Men's Day where our men will lead us in worship. On Feb. 16, at 5:00 PM our Youth will host a Valentine's Banquet which is always a great time for great food, fun and fellowship. Come out and support our young people and have a great time too! Sunday, Feb. 24th is Youth Sunday and they will be leading us in worship in the 11:00 AM service.
God is good all the time. Let us together strive to become all God has called us to be as we teach, preach, and live for the glory of God. I continue to challenge each one of us to pray, strive and work to lead, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, at least one person to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in 2019. It is not about me, it is not about you, it is about Jesus Christ and always keeping our focus on Him and giving Him the glory of it all. Together, we can become the New Testament and the Great Commission church God wants us to be.
January 3, 2019
I hope you are doing well as we begin 2019! My prayer as we begin this new year is that we will keep our focus on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is worthy of all of our praise and worship.
We have just celebrated His birthday, but let us celebrate His life, death and resurrection all year long. He came to us and died on the cross so that we could have the gift of eternal life, if we repent of our sins and ask Him to come into our heart as our personal Lord and Savior.
As we seek to keep our focus on Jesus Christ, let us realize that Satan will do his best to get us side tracked. But, if we seek the will of God to be done in our lives and in His church, we can remain faithful to Him in all we say and do. As I Corinthians 10:31 states "So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." As we serve the Lord at home, church, school, or wherever we find ourselves, let us do everything we do for His glory. God loves you and he demonstrated that love to you in sending His Son to die on the cross, rise from the grave and go into Heaven to prepare a place for each one who receives Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Let us demonstrate our love to Him by being obedient to Him as we live in 2019.
God promised that He would never place on us more than we can bear if we will keep our eyes upon Him. So, let us keep our eyes, our focus, on Him and strive to live in the center of His will.
I hope each one of you will commit to be in worship and in service to our Lord with all you are and all you have. Pray that God's will be done. Always remember that if you need to talk with someone, as God's under shepherd, I will strive to be here for you. God loves you and so do I.
As the flock of God, let's keep the first thing first, Jesus Christ.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whose birthday we are celebrating this time of the year. God loves each one of you so much that He sent His only begotten Son down to this earth to be born of a virgin, to live and set the example for us to live by and then to go to the cross to die in our place. So that our sins can be forgiven and we can receive the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. He then went to Heaven to prepare a place for each and every follower of Jesus Christ. One day He will come back to receive us unto Himself, so that we may be where He is.
As we celebrate Christmas, let us keep our focus on whose birthday we celebrate, for He is the reason for the season. Always remember God is with you and He will never leave nor forsake you.
In December we are observing the Week of Prayer for International Missions , the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which will be collected up the entire month. Also, we will have an angel tree this year. The Women on Mission are sponsoring our Christmas card distribution. Sunday, Dec. 9th, 5:30 PM we will have our Christmas banquet followed at 7:00 PM with our Christmas play. Wednesday, Dec. 19th at 7:00 PM is the Christmas by Carols and Candlelight service followed by Sunday, Dec. 23 with our Christmas Cantata. On Christmas Day, the 25th at 10:00 AM is the informal Christmas Day service.
This is a busy time of the year, but always remember it is His birthday and let's keep the focus on Him.
See you in church to worship Jesus Christ!

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ loves you and He is with you now and always. God is good all the time. He has blessed us so very much. I pray that you are becoming the prayer warrior and a student of the Word of God that He wants you to be. I pray that we will keep our focus on our Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that you are striving to live in the center of His will. God has a purpose and plan just for you. As we quickly approach the season of the year that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ the greatest gift you can give Him is yourself. Thus as individuals and as a church let's put His will above all else.
Our Youth on Mission are sponsoring a couple of activities: Sunday the 14th is their fall hike (to the Mill Mountain Star) with a picnic, and outdoor Mission study; the 27th is the Big Church at Salem Civic center and finally on the 28th is the Fall festival and trunk or treat from 5-7 PM. Everyone is welcome.
On November 3rd from 1-3 PM our youth, men's ministry and others are sponsoring a community car winterizing project. Work is underway on our Christmas play. The Samaritan Shoe Box ministry is in full force and we are close to our 100 box goal with our deadline of 10/31 quickly approaching.
I encourage each one to make it a priority to be in God's house with God's people. I love each one of you and ask that you be in prayer that I may become the under shepherd God wants me to be. Let's strive together to become the New Testament Great Commission Church that God wants us to be. Let us love God with everything we are and love others. Love is an action word. Let's invite others to come and worship with us on Sundays.
May the blessing of our Lord and Savior be with you now and always.

Please be in prayer as to where God wants you to serve Him in the year 2019. We need workers. The Finance committee will meet the 24th and if you have requests for them please see one of the Finance Committee members.
Let us keep our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ, and glorify Him in all we say and do. God has a purpose and plan for SRBC and let us strive to live in the center of that will. God loves you and me. Let us give Him the glory, honor and praise that He deserves. Always remember He sent His only begotten Son to die on that cross that we might receive the gift of eternal life. Because of our faith in Jesus Christ, as our personal Lord and Savior, we can know that one day we will be with Him in heaven. This is the victory we have in Jesus. May the blessings of God be upon You.

I encourage us not only profess our faith in Jesus Christ, but to live out our faith. Let us love God with all of our hearts, minds, souls, and our strength and let us love one another as we love ourselves. Let us strive to become the New Testament church God wants us to be. Let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ, and seek to please Him above everything else. As we look toward 2019 and the rest of this year let us seek God's will for our lives and for SRBC. See you Sunday as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is good all the time even if it doesn't feel like it. God loves you so very much that He demonstrated that love to you in that while we were yet sinners Christ Jesus died on the cross for you and me. He died so that our sins can be forgiven and we can be set free from the slavery of sin, and receive the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I hope you have asked Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior; for that is the only way you can receive the gift of God and know for sure you will be in heaven with him and others who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. If you have done this, then you are my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I invite you to our church worship service and picnic on Sunday, July 15 at 11:00 am at the FC Recreation Dept. on Route 619. We will gather under the big shelter and start with the worship service followed by a pot luck picnic. Afterwards, we will have time for fun and fellowship with games and activities. Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. God loves you so very much that He demonstrated to us His love in that while we were sinners, in rebellion against Him, while we felt helpless and hopeless, Jesus died on the cross, rose from the grave and ascended into heaven to prepare a place for each one who trusts and believes in Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
God loves you and has a plan and purpose for your life. We invite you to come to Sandy Ridge and hear the word of God that brings hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless and victory to everyone who repents of their sins and asks Jesus Christ to come into their heart as their personal Lord and Savior.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father (heavenly Father, God) but by me." Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven and we need to share that with our world. The purpose of the church is to seek and save the lost. We cannot save anyone; we are to point them to the one who can, Jesus Christ. We must keep our focus on Jesus Christ. This is our purpose.
Satan is the arch deceiver and is trying to take the church's focus off of Christ and on to anything else. When we lose our focus we lose our identity as the Bride of Jesus Christ. Thus, let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ and reach out to the lost and minister to those that are in need.
My prayer is that we will always be about our Heavenly Father's business, to seek and save the lost and minister to those in need.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I hope this finds you doing well this sunny, cool morning. God loves you and so do we. I pray that we are about our Lord and Savior's business of seeking to share the message of God's saving power with others, and ministering to the needs of others. Let us always keep our focus on His commandments as found in Matthew 22:36-40 "'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and the greatest commandment. And the second is like it; Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"
God loves you and we invite each one to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ each week.
I ask you to keep me, your Pastor, in prayer that I will always keep my focus on Jesus Christ and what He wants me to do, and to lead Sandy Ridge in striving to live in the center of His will. We are all part of His family if we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We may not always agree, but we are family and we belong to Jesus Christ. Thus, let us live for Him always and seek His will to be done. I love you and am praying for you and want you to always know that I am here to listen, talk, and seek God's will for our lives. There is so much going on in each of our lives and we all need someone to share with and pray with in good times and bad. God loves us and has promised He would never leave us nor forsake us. We need to always keep our focus on the main thing, that which God considers the main thing - our love for Him and for others. Let us live in such a way that others will see Christ living within us.

Good cold morning to everyone! I hope this finds you staying warm. God loves you and so do I and I thank each one for all the blessings of this Christmas season. As we begin 2018 I hope and pray that we will all keep our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ. There are so many tragedies, wars and rumors of wars, fires, sicknesses and death as well as many others. Each family faces their own problems and trials. I want you to know if you have questions or just need to talk, I will be available for you, just give me a call.
It seems at this time there are more and more problems and distractions that seek to keep us from loving God with all our hearts, minds, souls, and Mark adds, strength. A second commandment that goes along with the first, is to love our neighbors as ourselves. Who is our neighbor? Anyone who needs the grace of God. The greatest things we can do for anyone is to pray for them and to share our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with them. As we enter into the last days before Christ returns, let us be prepared for His coming. Let us also be about Christ's task that He has given to us, "To seek and save those that are lost and to minister to those in need." God loves you and promised He would never leave you nor forsake you. Let us strive to live in the center of God's will; let use seek to be reflectors of the light of Jesus Christ as the darkness seeks to surround us.
We will observe the Lord's Supper on Jan. 14 at the 11:00 AM service, then on the 21st at 11:00 AM we will have a deacon ordination service. Let us together strive to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, together. We are the bride of Christ at Sandy Ridge.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! May the Spirit of the Living God reside upon you this Christmas season. God's love is evident if we will only look for it and let it rest upon us. As we celebrate His birthday, let us give Him the praise and adoration that is due His wonderful name.
As we celebrate His birth, we must remember His death, burial and most importantly His resurrection, which brings to those who trust and believe in Him, the gift of eternal life. Thus, let us keep our focus on Him. This is what Christmas is all about.
Let us not forget to proclaim the good news of great joy to everyone that God is with us, Emmanuel.
As a reminder of events in December: Week of Prayer for Int'l Missions is 3-10 and we will collect the Lottie Moon Christmas offering during December with our church goal being $5,000. Dec. 10th at 5:30 pm is the Christmas Banquet and at 7:00 pm is the Christmas play. Dec. 17th our youth will be going ice skating at the Berglund Center. Dec. 20 is the Christmas by Carols & Candlelight service at 7:00 pm and on the 24th the choir will present the cantata "O Little Town of Bethlehem" during the 11:00 am service. We will have our annual Christmas Day service at 10:00 am (which is a brief and informal service).
We hope you make plans to join with us! Everyone is invited.
I pray each one will have a very, merry Christ-filled Christmas as we celebrate His birthday. May God's blessing rest upon you now and always.

May the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be lifted up as we celebrate what God has done for us; God is good all the time!
Christians are called to be "the salt of the earth" (Matthew 5:13) in order to keep a decaying world from further corruption. Christians are the "light of the world" (Matthew 5:14) illuminating the darkness that is caused by sin and giving guidance to a world that has lost its way. We are called to be "Children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world" (Phil. 2:15). Because of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection we now have a gospel that can provide forgiveness of sins and the transformation of lives. A transformed life is the greatest of all miracles, that is brought about by God's love for us. We are to love God and love others as God has loved us. Love is an action word.
I invite you to our Community Thanksgiving Service, Wednesday, Nov. 22, 7:00 PM at Sandy Ridge. We will join with Bonbrook Baptist Church to give thanks for all our blessings.
In December, we have many events scheduled as we celebrate Jesus' birth! Sunday, Dec. 10 is our annual Banquet (5:30 PM), and Christmas Plays (7:00 PM). Wednesday, Dec. 20 (7:00 PM) is the Christmas by Carols and Candlelight service. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you serving our Lord Jesus Christ and living in obedience to Him. We read in John 17:20-23 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." The nugget of truth here is that when church members do not show love to one another, the world cannot properly know that God loves them. If Christians within the church cannot show love to one another, if they cannot be of one heart and mind, if they cannot get along, then a watching world will never hear about God's love. The most important reason for Christians to love one another is it validates the reality of a living Christ and it demonstrates the truth of the gospel. Loving one another is truly an act of God among His creation. When there is no love, it means the Spirit of God is not present. We say "God is love," we can recite John 3:16, and we can quote the two greatest commandments about love. But when it actually comes to showing love to others, we often struggle. Where else can anyone find the love of God, if not in His church and among His people? If love cannot be found there, then there is no hope for a lost world. The church should become the most loving place on the earth!!!
I encourage you to attend our Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28 starting at 5 PM with a meal, at 6 PM will be games and we'll end the night with trunk-or-treat starting at 7 PM.
May the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you as we strive to live in the center of God's will, together let us seek to become the New Testament and the Great Commission church God wants us to be.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you enjoying the sunshine this morning! We need to be praying for the victims of hurricane Harvey as they seek to recover, then we have Irma on its way to Florida. Lets pray, pray, pray, for we cannot imagine what they are going through, most of the time we just think of how it is affecting us. God has been so good to us and blessing us so very much. We need to stop and count our blessings. God has called us to seek and save those that are lost and reach out to those in need. We have so many in need in our own back yard, in our nation and our world. While we cannot do everything, we are commanded to do what we can. The Bible says when our brothers and sisters are hurting we are hurting.
Also I want us to realize that the greatest hurt and sickness of all is sin sickness and the hurt of not knowing whether you are saved and prepared to go to heaven and be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven one day. We know the one who is the only way, truth and the life and that no man can get to heaven except through Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ and we have an obligation and privilege to share Him with all that we know. How can we love someone and not tell them how to get to heaven? Let us be about our heavenly Father's business, the business of the New Testament and the great commission church, which is to seek and save the lost and minister to those in need.
I ask you to be in prayer for our leaders, nationally, locally, and in our church. As we are working on our new church year, please pray for our new leaders, God wants 100% of the people doing 100% of the work of the church, the body of Christ. Christ is the Head, and we are to follow His commands. Let us be in prayer as our finance committee works to make sure we are good stewards of what God has given us. Let us be in prayer as our new deacon servants are selected. Let us be faithful in our attendance, for Christ said do not forsake the assembling of our selves together as the manner of some. The church is the bride of Christ. Always be in prayer that we will always keep our focus on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Our new church year begins in January and we are beginning the process of electing new leaders. I urge you to be in prayer as to where God wants you to serve Him in 2018. We desperately need workers in the preschool area for Sunday School and Worship Service, as well as leaders throughout our church. God has blessed us tremendously and He has called each member to service in our own field of calling. You are called just as much as I have been called. So, let's be about our Heavenly Father's business, which is to seek and save the lost and minister to those in need. Let us become the New Testament Church God wants us to be.
I invite you along with your friends to our Worship and church picnic this Sunday, July 30 at 11 AM at The FC Recreation Department on Sontag Rd. (Rt. 619). ((Note: there will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL)) In the event of bad weather, we will meet at the church for Worship and in the fellowship hall for the meal.
August 13th the Men's Ministry is hosting a watermelon and ice cream fellowship at 4 PM at church. I also encourage you to be here on August 20th at 11 AM as J.T. Clark will be with us sharing his testimony on forgiveness. He has a powerful message to share.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope you are enjoying these beautiful days and the beauty of God's creation. God blessed us during our Revival services and we are looking forward with anticipation as we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I hope you are making plans to being with God's people in God's house. Celebration of the Resurrection will begin Saturday, April 15 at 11 AM with the Easter Eggstraveganza with a meal, crafts and Easter Egg hunt. On Sunday, the 16th we start the day at 7:00 a.m. with the Sunrise Service with Youth in charge followed by breakfast. We continue to worship at 11 AM with a special Easter message. As we think about the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, let us remember that He died for you and me, so that our sins can be forgiven. He rose from the grave to defeat death itself, and because He lives we can know that because of our faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior we have eternal life and one day we will be with Him in heaven. As Ambassadors for Christ we are to represent Heaven while we are on earth. Jesus is worthy of our complete devotion, our love and our commitment to Him. We love Jesus because He first loved us and demonstrated that love by dying on the cross, being buried in the tomb and then the third day He rose from the grave. Let us reveal our love to Him by being obedient to Him. May the blessings of our Lord and Savior be with you now and always.

At 5:30 PM we will have a potluck fellowship meal then at 7 PM revival service. Services continue each night through Wednesday at 7:00 PM with special music each night. Plans are underway for Vacation Bible School which will be held on June 19-23rd with commencement on the 25th, which is the day our Young people leave for Impact Virginia. If you wold like to serve in VBS please contact Amber and Josh Shell.
God is good all the time. Things happen that we cannot explain or understand but our faith and trust remain in Jesus Christ our Lord, who will never leave us nor forsake us. So let's keep our focus on Him at all times.
Looking forward to seeing you in God's house on Sunday and Wednesday. God says do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together as the manner of some. We are commanded to gather and worship Him together. I encourage each one of us to invite others that are not involved in church to come and join you in worshiping Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank you to those who so faithfully worship and serve Jesus Christ each week. May God's blessing be with you always.
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I hope this is a beautiful morning for you. Time to be outside if possible, to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. God is good to His children all the time. I hope you are about our Heavenly Father's business of reaching out to the lost in Jesus' name, and ministering to those that are in need. This is our business as believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I hope you are making plans to be here for our youth sponsored Valentine's Banquet beginning at 5:30 PM on Saturday night. Then on Sunday we have Baptist Men's Day with Bobby Angell bringing the message God has given Him to speak to us. On Sunday afternoon from 4-6 PM we have the Children's ministry Day. Also coming up on March 5th at the 11 AM service is our Focus on WMU. The 19-22 is our Revival service with Roger Roller Evangelistic Association.
Let us remember that we who are called by Christ's name are the only ones who have the solution to this world's problem. II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land." This gives some conditions for us who are called by God's name to do before God will heal our land. Are you willing to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. Looking forward to seeing you in God's house with God's people, worshiping the Living God.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I hope this finds you doing great today. I hope you are staying dry. We are praying for you and all of those who will be impacted by the hurricane Florence this week. My heart goes out to all of you. God loves you.
As so many in our community are having problems and trials of many kinds I want you to know if you need to talk or if there is something that we can do please feel free to give us a call. I am seeking to be in my office, so if you would like to stop by and talk and pray feel free.
I want to say thank you to all the planning that is being done to prepare for the teaching, ministry and activities for our church and community.
We are in the process of collecting shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse. Our church goal is 100 boxes. We are also collecting for the Alma Hunt offering that goes to support missions in the state of Virginia.
Our Youth, and anyone who wants to participate, are planning a trip to see Liberty Football game on the 22nd. Please contact Lynae Young if interested in going.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We want to rejoice in our baptismal service this past Sunday. Also thanks to our men's ministry for the ice cream and watermelon fellowship that we enjoyed so much!
I encourage each of you to be in prayer as to where God wants you to serve in the upcoming church year for 2019. I ask that each one search the will of God for where He wants you to serve and sign up for that position on the nominating sheets that are at the Information Center. The Nominating Committee will meet again Sunday afternoon.
I am so encouraged to see our leaders for our young people getting together to plan events for the rest of the year. Our prayers will be with you.
This Sunday please be in prayer for our Bible Study leaders. During the 11 AM Worship service is Family Day and the Children's Message.
Let us strive be live in the center of God's will for our lives as individuals and as a church. Let us strive to live out the fruits of the Spirit as spelled out in Galatians. I encourage us not only profess our faith in Jesus Christ, but to live out our faith. Let us love God with all of our hearts, minds, souls, and our strength and let us love one another as we love ourselves. Let us strive to become the New Testament church God wants us to be.

July 23rd at 11:00 is Family Day and our Children's Message followed with Melvin Bowman bringing our message. July 22-28 we have 9 members going to Impact Virginia in Danville. God wants to use Sandy Ridge to share and win the lost to Jesus Christ and to minister to those in need,. Let's, together, be about our Heavenly Father's business.

On Sunday, Dec. 24 (11:00 AM) the Chancel Choir will present the cantata "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and on Dec. 25 (10:00 AM) we will have a brief, informal service celebrating Christ's birthday.
May God's blessing be upon you as we strive to become the New Testament and Great Commission Church God wants us to be.

On Sunday the 28th we will have a Memorial Day celebration to honor those who have served our country, and will follow that by celebrating Father's Day on June 18th.
June 18-23 will be our Vacation Bible School week, with commencement on Sunday the 25th. If you are willing to help, please contact Josh or Amber Shell.
We have a number of youth and their leaders leaving for Impact VA at Bluefield College on Sunday the 25th.
Mark your calendars now, July 30th we will hold 11:00 AM Worship Service at the Recreation Dept. on Route 619 (Sontag Rd.) followed by a potluck church picnic and games.
Please keep your Pastor in prayer that he may always keep his focus on the Lord Jesus Christ. Then he will be able to lead SRBC to keep its focus on the Lord. God has a purpose and plan for each one of us as individuals and as a church. Let us focus completely on Jesus. He is worthy of our worship and service. God wants to use His Bride, the church, to turn our communities, nation and world back to Him. God wants and deserves our total commitment and loyalty.

May the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you as we begin the month of May! God is good all the time. Don't ever forget that God wants us to be a Christ-like family as we seek to be obedient servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has said that we would be known for our love for Him first of all and then by our love for one another.
Dates to keep in mind for May are: 14th is Mother's Day and we will celebrate Mothers in the 11 AM service. On the 18th-19th we will have our bus trip to the Noah's Ark Experience in Kentucky the we will recognize our graduates on the 21st.
Please be in prayer for our Vacation Bible School June 19-23. Be in prayer as to where God wants you to serve Him on this important week for SRBC. This is a tremendous Evangelistic opportunity. Positions of leadership and assistance are still available. If you are interested in serving, please check your bulletin for who to contact.
Then, keep our youth and leaders in prayer as they prepare to go to Impact VA at Bluefield College. Please mark your calendar with the Church picnic and worship service at the 619 Rec Department on July 30th. As we approach the summer months let us continue to worship and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, no matter where we may find ourselves. We are living in urgent times and we must be about our Father's business; To seek and save the lost and minister to those that are in need.
May God continue to wrap His loving arms around you and bestow His Amazing Grace upon you.

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Today is another beautiful day and I hope and pray this finds you doing great and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "Jesus said to John, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." You and I are to proclaim the truth. The truth is Jesus Christ.
As we come with anticipation of revival let us be in prayer for the services. Prayer is the only way we can have revival. Our revival begins Sunday, Mar. 19 with the 11 AM service. At 5:30 PM we will have a potluck fellowship meal then at 7 PM revival service. Services continue each night through Wednesday at 7:00 PM with special music each night. Let's pray for Roger Roller as he prepares to be with us and bring the messages that God lays upon his heart for us to hear and obey.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you warm and dry. God is good all the time and His loving arms and Amazing Grace are upon each one of us who trust and believe in Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
We need to seek and save the lost and minister to those in need. When is the last time you shared Jesus Christ with someone or invited someone to come to church with you? This should be so very natural for us to be doing all the time. God loves you and we need to show our love for God by sharing that love with others.
I encourage you to be in church this Sunday as our youth and leaders will share some from the Resurrection Youth Conference they attended this past weekend. We will also have our annual State of the Church message where you will learn much of what activities we accomplished over the last year. On February 11th at 5:30 PM our youth are sponsoring our Valentine Banquet. All donations will go toward them attending Impact Virginia on June 25- July 1, 2017. On the 12th We will have Baptist Men's Day. Then at 4-6 PM we will have our Children Ministry Day.
God is blessing us in order that we may bless others. We will hear more of this on Sunday. I encourage you to be in prayer as to where God wants you to serve Him at Sandy Ridge and beyond. We need more leaders to step up. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. Oh, don't forget that prayer meeting begins at 7 PM each Wednesday. May the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you now and forever.

Greetings in the name of the Christ child, Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, for it is His birthday. He is worthy of all praise and glory and was born that we may live. He lived to give us an example to live by and He died on the cross, rose from the grave, ascended to Heaven and has prepared a place for each and everyone who trust and believes in Him as their personal Lord and Savior. He is the gift that was given, that we may have eternal life with Him now and for all eternity.
So as we take time and pause from our busy schedule let us glorify the baby that was born on that first Christmas morning. God created us to have fellowship with Him. Just think, the creator of EVERYTHING wanted to fellowship with us! He wanted us to grow as His children, and to reach out to those that are living helpless and hopeless lives, to share with them the great comforter, the Prince of peace, the one who gives us grace and forgives our sins. He bestows His righteousness on us, for He has paid the penalty for our sins. Thus we can receive the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Chris our Lord.
As we celebrate His birthday, let us not forget the mercy, grace, peace, forgiveness, hope and victory we have because of Him. I want to encourage you to be with us Sunday the 25th at 11:00 AM as we celebrate His birthday. Merry Christmas, and may the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with all of us as we end 2016. Let us commit 2017 to being the individuals and church God wants us to be. See you Sunday!

Good Morning Sandy Ridge Family! God is good all the time! A big thank you to each one that helped and walked our float for the Christmas parade on Sunday. It wasn't the best of weather for a parade but we had a great time and you did a wonderful job on our float.
During the month of December we are collecting our Lottie Moon Christmas offering. This offering goes to help International Missionaries, and 100% of this offering goes directly to that.
As the presents are being placed under our angel tree, we thank each of you for participating in this ministry of our church.
Please make plans to come out for our Christmas at Sandy Ridge this Sunday. We will start with the covered dish banquet at 5:30 PM and follow with the Preschool Dept. playing handbbells, then the Children's Dept. and Youth plays. It will be a great time of fun and fellowship, and a time to support our young people and their leaders. Dec. 18th the Chancel Choir will present the cantata "COME, LET US ADORE" at the 11:00 AM Worship service. Wednesday, Dec. 21st at 7:00 PM is the Christmas by Carols and Candlelight service. On Sunday, Dec. 25 we celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.; there will be no Bible Study hour on Christmas Day. Instead, we will have an abbreviated and casual service at 11:00 AM. So make plans to come and celebrate the birthday of the King Jesus.
May God's blessing be with each and every one. Let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ.

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. As we prepare for the Thanksgiving season let us not forget that the ultimate gift we have to be thankful for is God's gift of his Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus died on the cross so each of us, who repents of our sins and asks Jesus Christ to come into our hearts, can be assured of receiving the gift of God, which is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We should be grateful to Christ for His manifold blessing He has bestowed upon us. Be thankful by giving praise and thankfulness to Him for His gift of eternal life and His continuous blessing to us and never forget that we are blessed in order to be a blessing to others.
It is my hope to see you on Sunday in church as we give thanks to God our Savior. The Community Thanksgiving Service will be Wednesday, the 23rd at Gethsemane Baptist church at 7 PM. Please make plans to join with us in a community time of thanksgiving.
May the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you as we strive to serve Him in all that we do and say.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God is good all the time. I hope this finds you resting in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ deserves our praise and worship for He is always with us. Let us be found living in the center of His will. I want to encourage you to join us as we meet to worship and praise His blessed name. The church is the bride of Christ. Christ said do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some are. We need each other to face the trails and temptations we have to face each day. Every one of us needs someone that we can talk and share with. Always remember that we can talk with the Lord, and that we were created to have fellowship with Him daily.
As we prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas let us not become so busy that we forget that Jesus Christ is the ultimate one we give thanks to. Also, Christmas is His birthday, let us celebrate Him and His love that was shown to us that first Christmas.
Please make plans for Wednesday, Nov. 23rd at 7:00 pm as we join with Gethsemane Baptist, and Bonbrook Baptist at Gethsemane to have a Community Thanksgiving service. I hope to see you as we give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Don't forget to turn clocks back this Sunday as Daylight Savings time ends.

May the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you this beautiful morning! God is good all the time.
Let us be in prayer and supporting our church family, as we have been grieving for those who have seen their love ones going home to heaven. It is great to see how Christ's people reach out to minister to those in need. Let's keep up God's work.
I remind you that on Saturday, Oct. 1st at 9 AM we will have a work day to help get things spruced up for Homecoming. Our Homecoming on 9th will begin at 10:30 AM (no Sunday School) with the Spiritualaries giving praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pastor Jack Corvin will bring the message the Lord has placed upon his heart. Then about noon we will have our potluck fellowship meal. We encourage you to invite our former members and friends to come with you as we look forward to a wonderful day of worship, fun and fellowship.
Let us be in prayer for our elections, nation, world, churches, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and the lost and needy. May the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always.

Good Morning, I hope you are staying cool!
I want to encourage you to keep your focus on our Lord Jesus Christ as we see the downward spiral of the moral and spiritual condition of our world. We need not just complain; but we need to be about our Heavenly Father's business which is to seek and save those that are lost by telling them of Jesus' love and forgiveness. Minister to those in need, both spiritually and physically.
Let the love of Jesus Christ be seen in the church and in our lives, for we are the church. You may be the only Bible some people will ever see. Let's keep our eyes focused on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and be obedient to His loving will.
We had a great service on Sunday as the Impact Va Team shared some of their experiences with us. On Wednesday night and Sunday morning (July 30) we will have pictures that will be shown before and after the services from their week of labor. Also I encourage you to participate in the Church Picnic at Goshen Pass this Saturday. Directions are in the bulletin (and below). We will also have a baptismal service before the picnic. Let us be in prayer for our Nominating committee, Finance committee, and Deacon selection committee as they are currently working to fill positions for the 2016-17 year. These will be voted on August 17th.
Pictures have been taken for our new church directory. If you were not able to have your picture taken, you can still participate by submitting a non-professional photo (copyright laws) to Glenn Rutrough to be included in the directory. Be sure to include your name, address, and email address (if you would like it included) so we will have the correct information printed in the directory. Deadline for these is Sunday, July 31st.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I encourage you to be in prayer for our Impact Virginia team that is at Wise, Va helping those in need. Pray for their safety and protection from the heat. On Sunday the 24th they will be sharing some of their experiences from their work week.
Hope to see you in Bible Study and Worship Service. God is worthy of all of our praise and worship. He died on the cross that we might have everlasting life, if we will accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. As we see the downward spiral of morality in our nation we encourage you to keep your eyes focused on Jesus Christ. As we continue to see all the violence in our nation and around the world let us be prayer warriors. Let us be students of the Word of God and hide God's word in our hearts that we might not sin against God. We are commanded to be lights in the midst of darkness, reflecting the light of Jesus Christ to our world. People need the Lord and they will only have a chance when we, who are called by His name tells them about the saving knowledge, power and forgiveness of our Lord and Savior.
See you Sunday, and don't forget to bring others with you!

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us be in prayer for our churches, our nation, and our world. We need a spiritual revival that begins with our churches. There is still hope for America if we will turn back to God.
I encourage each of you to be active in the services of our church and be students of the Word of God. The Bible says we are to hide God's word in our hearts that we may not sin against God.
Our young people will be participating in the WinShape Camp next week at Franklin Heights Baptist, so let us be in prayer for those attending. We will have Father's Day Recognition and a Child Dedication Service on June 19. If you would like to participate in the dedication service, please let us know. Family Day with Children's Message is the 26th. The 27th-July 1st is our Vacation Bible School and we have classes for ALL ages. Commencement for VBS is July 3rd at 11:00 AM.
We are getting ready for a new pictorial church directory and would like for every family to be in our new directory. Dates for pictures are July 11, 22 and 23. Please sign up for one of these dates! Our youth will be participating in Impact Va. at UVA Wise July 17-23. The 30th we will be the church picnic at Goshen Pass along with a baptismal service. (Directions will be in bulletin.)
Let us join together in serving Jesus Christ this summer. Don't forget to sign up as to where the Lord wants you to serve in the 2016- 2017 church year. Nominating Sheets are at the information center. May the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you now and always.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you doing great. It is a cool day and it doesn't feel like the middle of May.
We have been blessed so very much. God is good all the time. I want to let you know that I am praying for you and urge you to pray for me, your pastor, that I will have the wisdom, leading, and guidance from the Holy Spirit to be the Spiritual leader that God wants for Sandy Ridge Baptist Church and this community.
We need to sense the urgency of the times we are living in and be focused on doing our Heavenly Father's will; which is winning the lost to Jesus Christ and seeking to minister to those in need. People need the Lord and only as we, who are called by Christ name, live for Christ and tell them about our living Savior can they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to heaven.
I hope you are planning to be in church this Sunday. We start with Bible Study at 9:45 AM and worship at 11 AM, and during worship we will recognize our graduates for this year.
As we realize the Love that God has for us in sending His only Begotten Son to die on the cross for us, so our sins be forgiven, let us commit ourselves to becoming the Christ like person God wants us to be.

Happy New Year, I hope the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is with you, and His loving arms are around you and pray His Amazing Grace is upon you right now and always.
I encourage you, as we begin 2016, to commit yourself to pray, study God's Word, and share Jesus Christ with those you come in contact with at home, school, workplace, or in your everyday life. We can have a spiritual revival if we, who are called by Christ's name, will humble ourselves and pray, seek God's face and turn from our wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
I ask you to pray for your pastor that he maybe the under shepherd that God wants him to be and have the wisdom, courage, and strength to guide the church in the direction God wants us to go.
This coming Sunday we will be observing the Lord's Supper and the message will be on the "State of the Church". Also on the 17th at 11 AM we will have an encore of the Christmas cantata "Were You There."
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday nights and Sundays as we strive to become mature believers in Jesus Christ together. May the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always.

Merry Christmas to one and all! I hope this finds you doing great as we anticipate the celebration of Christ Birthday.
It is a beautiful time of year when we focus, in a special way, on our Lord Jesus Christ who gave us the greatest gift of all; everlasting life. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope this finds you doing great! God is blessing us so very much; this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be happy in it. I encourage each one of us to be about our Heavenly Father's business, which is to reach out to the lost and minister to those in need, and we have so much need all around us.
I invite you to the Veteran's Day recognition during worship service Sunday as we recognize those who served so we may be free. Invite those who are not attending church to come and worship with us. In addition to the worship service, we have Preschool, Children's and Youth Church.
This year's Community Thanksgiving Service Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00 PM. and will be held at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with Dwight Hayes of Bonbrook Baptist bringing the message. This is always a great service and a time of great fellowship and I invite you to attend and bring a friend.
As we enter this busy holiday season, let us keep our focus on Jesus Christ, for it is He who gives us reason to give thanks and it is His birthday we celebrate.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I hope this finds you doing great on this nice day God has given us. We had a very good picnic on Sunday. I want to thank Chris and the Social Committee for taking care of all the planning and making sure everything was taken care of.
I encourage each one of you to make plans to come to Bible Study and worship on Sunday and also encourage you to bring someone with you. We need to be proud of God's House at Sandy Ridge and be proud to invite others to come and worship God with us. God is calling each one of us who have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior to be about the business of our Lord and Savior. He is worthy of our praise and worship.

Greetings - I hope you are doing great! As a reminder: don't forget the canoe trip this Saturday, meeting at 7:00-7:15 AM and leaving the church at 7:30 AM. On Sunday we will observe the Lord's Supper. July 19th is our worship and church picnic at FC Recreation Park on Sontag Rd. (Rt. 619). (more info below) On the 24th the youth will be going to Salem to the Red Sox ball game and will meet at church at 6:15 PM.
I want to remind everyone that nominating sheets need to be turned in as soon as possible as the Nominating Committee will meet again the 20th. We need help, a number of people have requested, and we certainly need it, a young adult class and teachers and leaders are needed for that. If God is leading you in this direction, please place it on the nominating sheet and place in the box.
Let us pray God will raise up more leaders at Sandy Ridge. May the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always.
